Description

The Lotus Silkus Suture 2-0 – WN213 is a medical-grade, braided non-absorbable silk suture designed for effective wound closure and tissue approximation in various surgical procedures. Composed of premium natural silk, this suture is coated to enhance handling characteristics, improve knot security, and reduce tissue drag during placement.

This suture is particularly suited for procedures requiring long-lasting support and precise tissue adaptation, finding applications in general surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmic surgery, and cardiovascular surgery. While classified as non-absorbable, the silk material undergoes progressive degradation in vivo, leading to a gradual loss of tensile strength over approximately one year and complete absorption within two years, making it a very slow absorbing suture.

Manufactured under stringent quality standards, including CE, ISO 9001:2015, and EN ISO 13485:2016, the Lotus Silkus Suture is sterilized with 100% Ethylene Oxide to ensure sterility.
